The Google marketing team is responsible for marketing the company's exceptional product portfolio to end users, partners and customers on a worldwide basis. Our approach is to embrace the strength of our products and pace of innovation to drive marketing programs that are as entrepreneurial, data-driven and respectful of our users as Google itself. We have a variety of roles, including product marketing, creative services, event management, quantitative marketing and field marketing.

We are looking for a high-energy, experienced event marketing professional to manage events nationwide. The ideal candidate also has the experience to manage online marketing programs, PR experience as well as has a proven record in developing event-driven marketing programs. Project management and organization skills a must.

Candidate should thrive under pressure, love to travel, and have a passion for event logistics and tactics.

Responsibilities:

• Help concept, produce, and measure alternative event driven marketing programs from non-traditional presence at events, online programs, and “live marketing” with PR/buzz amplification.
• Event budget and event calendar management for assigned projects.
• Assist with event production and logistics from development of content, promotions and other event-related marketing.
• Analyze programs for effectiveness; conduct post-event reporting and ROI analysis.
• Interact with vendors, partners, company executives and a wide range of functional groups within Google.

Requirements:

• BA/BS Degree preferred with a strong academic record.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar event management role.
• Must be self-motivated, articulate, and possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Exceptional budget management, negotiation, organizational skills and attention to details.
• Ability to work smart and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Must be willing to travel and work long flexible hours.
• Motivated ‘can-do’ attitude, and results-oriented.
• Fluent in verbal and written in Chinese and English.
• Must be based in shanghai, China.
